Dear Hittygirls.
Just wanted to let everyone know I have safely arrived at the next stop
on my travel itinerary. The postal bus ran quicker than expected from
Enterprise AL to Lady Lake FL and when I arrived my human hostess was
away for the weekend visiting her daughter and son-in-law. Luckily,
Mrs. Anne's hubby was available to pick me up. It could have been a
long weekend sitting around the postal station by myself.
The Rollins' Hittys were expecting me and made me feel very welcome.
Mrs. Blossom, a Mrs. Plum graduate, had the Hitty guest room ready so
all I needed to do was unpack my personal items and I felt right at
home. Everyone enjoyed seeing the souvenirs I have collected while traveling
and hearing the tales of my travels--all the things I have seen and
all the Hittys I have met. They told me about other travel Hittys that
have visited and Hitty Rachelle told me all about the Winter Fun Party
at AGA. She had a really great time!
The weather here is gorgeous and I found some time to slip outside to
get a little sun on my pegs, it felt good. Hope you all had a pleasant
weekend as well.

Hitty Rachelle tells me all about the Winter Fun Party at the AGA. I
wish I had been able to attend. It sounded like great fun.
A quiet conversation with Hitty Judith (a Judy Brown Hitty) over a nice
cup of tea. We were joined by Hitty Judith's relatives a JB Itty Bitty
Hitty and a JB baby. I loved having the little ones around.
I attended a quilting guild chapter meeting. Their current charity project
is making quilts for a family with 9 adopted children. Each child is
getting a new quilt for their new bed in their new Habitat for humanity
home. Luckily they had already qualified for the Habitat home and the
construction is slated to start soon. The family lost their home when
the tornado devastated part of this community at the beginning of February.
The quilt I am helping put together in this photo is for a 16 year old
girl. She asked for a quilt in blue and black fabrics.
This a photo of me and some of my new dolly friends. They are art dolls.
Mrs. Anne was recently taught to make them in a class led by a dolly
friend in her quilting group. Mrs. Anne took one of the art dolls to
show and tell at her sewing club and the sewing club members asked her
to demo how to put together the doll's pipe cleaner armature so they
could try making one. They are such fun dolls everyone wanted one. Mrs.
Anne and I demo'd the armature at the meeting I attended with her. I
was her assistant.
The ladies at the sewing club were all pleased to meet me. They have
been hearing about Hitty from Mrs. Anne for years and have met some
of the cloth Hittys she has made and received as part of hittygirls
swaps but I am the first wooden Hitty they have met. I was happy to
visit each table so the ladies could meet me up close and personal.
I was so well received Mrs. Anne is considering taking more of the wooden
Hittys to meet the sewing club ladies.
This is a group photo of the Rollins' Hittys and myself. I am going
to miss them. Maybe someday I can back for another visit.
Dear Hittygirls,
I know you all like to keep track of me so I wanted to let you know
that I will be leaving Lady Lake FL tomorrow on the postal bus. I have
had a wonderful visit with the Rollins' Hittys but am anxious to meet
my next hostess and her Hittys in Bordentown NJ. I am approaching the
end of my journey and looking forward to finding out where my permanent
home will be. Each visit brings me one step closer.......
