Hitty Marie Curious--Diary and Pictures of her Adventures with Fung and Bruce
Dear Diary, July 3, 2005
I arrived here in the land of the north Georgia. I was given a big welcome by
my host mom Fung, Hitty Jenny, and also two of my sisters by my birth mom, TCV!
After all the hugs and greetings, Hitty Jenny made Oolong tea for all of us.
I must say after traveling a long way, I'm ready to sit back and relax a bit.
Tomorrow my host mom is going to take us all to the 4th July celebration in
town.
Hugs,
HMC

The weather here has been rain, and more rain... My host mom wanted to take
us out to watch the 4th July parade in town here, but because of the weather
we did not go. Instead, we were invited to tea and cakes by Hitty Jenny's friends.
They are from Japan, and have been living here in the US for a long time. So
we celebrated the 4th of July inside, and I learned to say the Japanese greeting
"Konnichi wa"...

Tonight we are going to go to a Braves ball game here. I've never been to a
baseball game, and I think it's going to be a lot of fun. My host mom loves
to watch baseball, and she made me a Braves dress to wear.. I hope it doesn't
get rained out!

We are home early from the baseball game (Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs),
because is was rained out!
The game was postponed with heavy rains and high winds, and the game is reschedule
on Thursday, tomorrow.......
The weather forecast for tomorrow is heavy rain, and thunderstorms.... My host
mom Fung don't know if we are able to go back to the game tomorrow, or not.
We will have to wait and see.

We went to the ball game this afternoon, and watched the Braves win. My hostess
was very pleased and did a lot of jumping up and down, and yelling. I enjoyed
it too.
When we got home Hitty Jenny thought we might want to visit her doll friends
who live here in another room. There are lots of dolls living here with Hitty
Jenny. I was surprised to find other wooden dolls named Schoenhut, who live
here that are much bigger then I am. I also met Miss China Lynn, and Miss bisque
Kestner. I was told by my host mom that they are over 100 years old!
They served me rose tea and carrot cakes while we visited, and we have a lovely
time.
I really enjoyed meeting them all.

HMC

Today my host mom, Fung, had some work to do. We girls were to be left alone
to do as we pleased. Hitty Jenny thought since today was a nice day, (no rain!)
we should take a walk and visit the neighborhood children's Library. We visited
Willie B, a western lowland gorilla, and had picture taken while we visited
with Joey the frog outside where he likes to sit and read his book. We also
visited the nearby duck pond.
It was a fun day...

Today I am very sad, because I have to say good by to all my new friends, here
in the south, especially my sisters, Tracy and Blossom. My host mom will be
taking me to the PO, and then I'll be on my way to my next adventure in Pennsylvania.
It's been a really fun here, and I had a wonderful time. See you in my next
adventure.
Hugs,
HMC
