from Jill in Arizona (Illinois Trip)
I can't believe what I'm seeing. Hitty Meigan is going to dive off the board and Hitty Cocopah is showing her how to get lift. I can't look!
|
Here is Miss Jill's grandson helping Hitty Meigan dive. Watching him brought back many fond memories of Andy and our times together. He was very helpful in rescueing me on several occasions. |
How brave. Not even a splash! I would never get wet! Never!
|
|
Hitty Meigan is going to scuba and bring back a star fish or something. I hope a big fish doesn't get her first. |
This was so special. While Hitty Meigan gets ready to surf Hitty Kitty holds her new friend. This is one that didn't get away! :O) Hugs, Hitty Alice |
This was my favorite day so far. Hitty did bring up some fish. I was too afraid to go near them. I'm am definitely a land lubber after all. |
Oh what a day. We went shoping at Gigi's Doll Shop for new
clothes.
Though there was very little for my size there were racks and racks clothes
for dolls.
Makes a doll want to grow! Hugs, Hitty Alice.
This is how I traveled with Miss Jill. She took me everywhere and I saw everything. Even in the car I could see the corn fields on the way to OHIO. Also very high bridges and things I'd never imagined. After being to India and in the Islands I didn't think there could be so much more to see. But this trip traveling from host to host has shown me just how big my wonderful country is.

Today we went on a picnic down by the river. All kinds of different water vessels went zooming by. I never saw anything like it. Here we are waving at the captain of his boat. I doubt if he saw us though since he was going so very fast. Why I could hardly see HIM. Hugs, HItty Alice |
Of all my visits so far I have learned that Hitty Meigan and
her sisters are very athletic and like to sport. Here Hitty is teaching
me the fine art of Bull fighting. I did learn to love this cute little bull!
He was very kind and didn't hurt me. Hitty Cocopah (Albuquerque Hitty) gave me an Arizona hat just for the occasion. Hugs, Hitty Alice |
|
Hitty Meigan said I learn very quickly. I feel I could be
a great bullfighter someday. Wait......why was everyone running away. Did
I say something wrong? Hitty Meigan teaches me a new saying. "Always
watch your back)! Hitty Meigan uses my apron to try to get the new bulls attention. This is a revolting development. |
|
Never having had the chance to do proper camping Miss Jill thought I would like the opportunity to try. We had popcorn and dogs and pop to drink. All very new to me. But......then the ghost stories started. And I heard a coyote howling not very far away. Hitty Meigan tells me they are all around us as are the deer. I know as the guest of honor I have the bed in the tent but my pegs are shaking and if I could run I would. |

|
Because I was so frightened we moved inside the house. I could |
To calm me down Hitty Meigan and her assistant put on a magic show. Oh I don't know how she got a bunny in that hat! This was another wonderful night. Hugs, Hitty Alice | |
Since this is my last night the girls got together and gave me a going away present. I am so excited. What can be in here?
|
Besides what I will be getting in the mail The girls gave me these gifts.
I received a blue chest made by Miss Jill. In it the girls have put my very own cup with my name on it, a small replica of the ship I was on with the Prebles, A dictionary for my writing endeavors, A China Road Runner and cowboy post cards to remind me to remember Arizona, a poster of Chicago and finally a jar full of a new cookie. Oreo's. YUM. I am sad to leave my new friends and I have had a wonderful time but as Hitty Meigan says..."tomorrow is another day." And I'm excited to see my new adventures. Hugs, Hitty Alice
