Hitty Annie Sullivan--the Adventure Continues!

Going to Atlantic City!

Hi Everyone,
I just returned from one last trip with my Leavenworth host family, before I head home to Julie in New York. Actually, I was quite close to there, on my trip, but had to come back to Leavenworth to get all of my things. My Host Mom's daughter, Julie, is in Atlantic City for two months performing in one of the big hotels there. She is what they call a living statue and she has lots of fun interacting with the tourists. She is costumed as a beautiful Greek Statue and poses in the lobby of the hotel. When someone walks by, she changes position and this gets all sorts of reactions from the people watching. Some jump back in fear, some come closer to see if they can catch her next move, others like to stand back and watch other people's reaction to her, but everyone enjoys what Julie does and wants to have their picture taken with her.

We had beautiful weather the whole time we were there, so we spent a lot of time on the beach in Atlantic City.
We went to Philadelphia for a whole day and saw many of the historical places where our forefathers helped to shape our country and give us the freedoms that we enjoy today. We saw the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and a stature of George Washington. We also went to the top of the City Hall Clock Tower, where we could see the whole city. It was a beautiful sight.
Before we headed back to Atlantic City, we had lunch in the Hard Rock Cafe, where they had Hitty sized guitars. Hitty Holly and I just had to have one.

We had a wonderful time and a great trip back to Leavenworth, and now it is time to pack up my things and head home to Julie in New York. It is really something to think that I will be crossing the entire United States from coast to coast three times in less than a week, but I have loved every minute of it and am looking forward to my next big adventure. Until then, this is Hitty Anne Sullivan signing off.

Everyone have a great day and God Bless. HAS
