This swap is for advanced sewers only. The dress should be carefully sewn, and should have appropriately sized trims. In other words, no large buttons, no 1/2" lace, or inappropriate fabrics like heavy satin, etc. The swap is to include one dress, one set of underclothes (pants and petticoat) one wrap/cape/coat/shawl (which may be sewn or knitted/crocheted) and one hat. The hat may be sewn, knitted/crocheted, or of hatstraw. Extras may be included, but are not required. Because most Hittys vary in size, I have given two choices and will try to match partners with the appropriate sizes. A good idea is to leave buttons or snaps off the actual waist, and either include them with the dress for the recipient to add, or to use an appropriately sized ribbon for the waist.
