OK - let's get our thinking caps on for a Hittygirl's badge
design!
The badge challenge that is under way currently came
about because the folks attending the Asheville event need an identifying
badge sooner than those who will be attending Williamsburg.
However, the badge will be able to be used at any Hitty
event or function - it will not have the word 'Asheville' on it. It will
be a generic Hitty Girls badge - all purpose so to speak! ;~)
Anyone can participate in the challenge - you do not
have to be attending the Asheville event in order to design a badg
To keep the badge designs of a uniform size, the dimensions to use
will be: 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" - that's the size of an old badge of
mine I found and isn't too big/too small.
Ryan said we could send a jpg. format image to him of the challenge
winner. In order to achieve a really sharp image to work from, the designs
should be kept to flat mediums such as marker, paint, gel pens etc. Anything
3-D would probably cause shadows and not transfer well to the badge.
The cut-off date to have your designs finished and posted in the February
folder at our Yahoo home: "Badge Design Challenge", will be March
4 - that's 2 weeks away - then have the voting on March 5, 6, 7 - and winner
posted on March 8.
